Sen. Arlen Specter, a Fuckwit Pennsylvania Republican
Annoying someone via the Internet is now a federal crime.
It's no joke. Last Thursday, President Bush signed into law a prohibition on posting annoying Web messages or sending annoying e-mail messages without disclosing your true identity.
In other words, it's OK to flame someone on a mailing list or in a blog as long as you do it under your real name. Thank Congress for small favors, I guess.
"The use of the word 'annoy' is particularly problematic," says Marv Johnson, legislative counsel for the American Civil Liberties Union. "What's annoying to one person may not be annoying to someone else."
Buried deep in the new law is Sec. 113, an innocuously titled bit called "Preventing Cyberstalking." It rewrites existing telephone harassment law to prohibit anyone from using the Internet "without disclosing his identity and with intent to annoy."
To grease the rails for this idea, Sen. Arlen Specter, a Pennsylvania Republican, and the section's other sponsors slipped it into an unrelated, must-pass bill to fund the Department of Justice. The plan: to make it politically infeasible for politicians to oppose the measure.
Here is another cocksucker politician who thinks the U.S. Constitution is just a "god damn piece of paper"
Sen. Arlen Specter , R-Pa., chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, sponsored the measure, which would extend the authority of the Secret Service to allow agents to arrest people who willingly or knowingly enter a restricted area at an event, even if the president or other official normally protected by the Secret Service isn't in attendance at the time.
James Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc) wants to make every American an informant by making it a jailable offense not to squeal on others - even family members . Congressman Sensenbrenner has introduced HR 1528 , which itself asks to be cited as the "Safe Access to Drug Treatment and Child Protection Act of 2005".
Saturday 11th June 2005 : Rep. James Senselessbrenner shuts down hearing on Patriot Act
The Republican chairman walked off with the gavel, leaving Democrats shouting into turned-off microphones at a raucous hearing Friday on the Patriot Act.
The House Judiciary Committee hearing, with the two sides accusing each other of being irresponsible and undemocratic, came as President Bush was urging Congress to renew those sections of the post-Sept. 11 counterterrorism law set to expire in September.
Rep. James Sensenbrenner, R-Wis., chairman of the panel, abruptly gaveled the meeting to an end and walked out, followed by other Republicans. Sensenbrenner declared that much of the testimony, which veered into debate over the detainees at Guantanamo Bay, was irrelevant.
Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-N.Y., protested, raising his voice as his microphone went off, came back on, and went off again.
``We are not besmirching the honor of the United States, we are trying to uphold it,'' he said.
Democrats asked for the hearing, the 11th the committee has held on the act since April, saying past hearings had been too slanted toward witnesses who supported the law. The four witnesses were from groups, including Amnesty International USA and the American Immigration Lawyers Association, that have questioned the constitutionality of some aspects of the act, which allows law enforcement greater authority to investigate suspected terrorists.
Nadler said Sensenbrenner, one of the authors of the Patriot Act, was ``rather rude, cutting everybody off in mid-sentence with an attitude of total hostility.''
Tempers flared when Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., accused Amnesty International of endangering the lives of Americans in uniform by referring to the prison at Guantanamo Bay as a ``gulag.'' Sensenbrenner didn't allow the Amnesty representative, Chip Pitts, to respond until Nadler raised a ``point of decency.''
Sensenbrenner's spokesman, Jeff Lungren, said the hearing had lasted two hours and ``the chairman was very accommodating, giving members extra time.''
James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, speaking immediately after Sensenbrenner left, voiced dismay over the proceedings. ``I'm troubled about what kind of lesson this gives'' to the rest of the world, he told the Democrats remaining in the room.
House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi, in a statement, said the hearing was an example of Republican abuse of power and she would ask House Speaker Dennis Hastert to order an apology from Sensenbrenner.
The traitor Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) took $47,750 from pro-Israel PACs.
Rick Santorum, another whoring Senator money can buy!
On September 15th, the Senate unanimously passed a resolution by Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) urging the United Nations to take action against anti-Semitism. Who does your congressional whore work for? Here is list of co-traitors Sen. George Allen (VA), Sen. Sam Brownback (KS), Sen. Jim Bunning (KY), Sen. Richard Burr (NC), Sen. Tom Coburn (OK), Sen. Norm Coleman (MN), Sen. Susan Collins (ME), Sen. Mike DeWine (OH), Sen. Smith Gordon (OR), Sen. Mel Martinez (FL), Sen. David Vitter (LA), and Sen. George Voinovich (OH).
Mr. Galloway made the following statement:
"Because I publicly humiliated this lickspittle senator Norman Coleman - one of [George] Bush's righthand men - in the US senate in May, this sneak revenge attack has been launched over the past 24 hours." We think Mr. Galloway should kick this kikes ass all the way back to israhell.

Do you remember the 1992 Presidential election between old man Bush, and Bill Clinton? One of the central issues raised at the time, by the Neo-Con pigs, during their smear campaign was, "would Bill Clinton, a draft dodger, have the moral authority to send the country to war". I received the following list of service records on a listserve yesterday, and found it interesting.
To me it is utterly sickening that these cowardly Neo-Con Hypocrites, who would send your children to wars, which they refuse to fight in, would even conceive of playing the "Draft Dodger Card" and then on top of it, smear the service record of a war hero in the 2004 Presidential election. But I suppose it shouldn't be surprising, because after all, you can't really expect a pig to change its stench.

"In free governments the rulers are the servants and the people their superiors and sovereigns." Thomas Jefferson
With more than 38 million Americans too poor to buy adequate food, the US Congress has begun to take away the food stamps many of them receive.
The Republican majority on the House Agriculture Committee has approved budget cuts that will take "food stamps" away from an estimated 300,000 people and could cut off school lunches and breakfasts for 40,000 children.
The action came as the US Government reported that the number of people who are hungry because they can't afford to buy enough food rose to 38.2 million in 2004, an increase of seven million in five years.
The number represents nearly 12 per cent of US households.
The cuts, approved by the Republican-controlled committee on a party-line vote, are part of an effort by Republicans to curb federal spending by $US50 billion ($65.7 billion).
These cuts hurt the most vulnerable of U.S. citizens while the U.S. Congress and the President continue to pour hundreds of billions of dollars into a war of lies for Israhell and dozens of billions of dollars in aid (the jew likes to point out that these are loans. The jew doesn't want you to know that Israhell has never, ever paid back a penney) per year the jew in Israhell.
The flag has fallen from its once lofty perch and merged with the sludge of corporate profiteering, calculated sadism and pre-emptive war.
by Mike Whitney
It's odd that Congress would pass a bill banning flag burning on the same week that reports confirmed the US military used napalm in Iraq. Apparently, it's alright to incinerate Iraqis, but not okay to burn a 5'x7' piece of tri-colored cloth. READ MORE
ENEMIES OF FREEDOM
These vile swine are the architects of the Patriot Act. The architects of the American Police State. They are members of
the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence. Too bad they don't have any of their own. It's bad enough that we have Patriot Act I but
now these imbeciles want to rubber stamp unlimited police powers. Under the new provisions the FBI can now subpeona records without
the approval of a judge or grand jury in terrorism investigations. Of course, this as we have already seen will be used against Americans
who disagree with the government. These swine are to the U.S Constitution as Jack the Ripper was to women.
September 24, 2005 -- Anti-war protest in Washington, DC today. Very few Democratic members of Congress to appear. Reason: The American Israel Public Affairs Committee (AIPAC), according to Democratic insiders on Capitol Hill, put out the word that any member of Congress who appeared at the protest, where some speakers were to represent pro-Palestinian views, would face the political wrath of AIPAC. According to Democratic sources on the Hill, Rep. Barney Frank of Massachusetts was the chief conveyor of the AIPAC warning to his colleagues. At the time of this report, three members of Congress were to address the anti-war protestors: Reps. Cynthia McKinney (D-GA), John Conyers (D-MI), and Lynn Woolsey (D-CA). The word is that AIPAC will direct its massive campaign support to Woolsey's neo-con and pro-Iraq war primary challenger, California State Assemblyman Joe Nation, who has strong connections to the Rand Corporation, one of the Pentagon's chief war-making think tanks. Woolsey represents California's Marin and Sonoma counties.
